The first time it happens, they’re at the movies. It’s a Friday night and they’re on another date. Santana is pretty sure it’s their eleventh date—she’s been trying to keep track, but they go on dates so often now that she’s losing count. Her stomach is full of breadsticks…

So while all of you are busy flailing over something I’m sure I am going to LOVE next episode, over here on my spoiler-free dash I have been thinking.
This actually sounds plausible but if it happens I will never watch this show again, and the Brittana fans will riot.

1) I love that we got her in a dress and with her hair done, like she was trying to make as good an impression as possible.
2) Fully convinced now that despite the fact that Santana’s parents are rich, Santana wasn’t lying when she says that she grew up in Lima Heights. With both parents working, she probably spent more of her childhood being babysat/raised by her grandmother and from the looks of her grandmother’s place, it does look like a simpler home.
3) At first I was pissed that we didn’t see her coming out to her parents, but I am now satisfied because it’s clear from the way Santana acted around her that her parents provided for her but her abuela raised her, and that’s why Lima Heights is more home to her than her own house. We still got her coming out to the person she needs validation from the most. Does it suck that Santana gets the shaft and rejection again? Yeah. But I hope that eventually they revisit this and her abuela can accept her.
Maybe Burt Hummel can run a session on accepting the kids you raised as who they are and invite Santana’s abuela and Mike Chang Sr.
this is fantastic
